We met during our bachelor studies in Amsterdam and quickly became close friends. Over the years we shared many sunny holidays together, but when it came to tanning we couldn’t have been more different.

Chiara could spend hours in the sun and would always develop a deep tan. But over time she started noticing the first signs of sun damage on her skin. Sophie, on the other hand, barely tanned at all. Instead she relied on self tanning products that smelled unpleasant, left streaks, turned green on the skin and stained  her clothing & bedding.

Neither option felt right.

As we became more aware of the long term effects of sun exposure, we started looking for healthier alternatives. But most self tanning products we tried focused only on colour and ignored skin health.

So we decided to create something better.

ROQUEBRUN was born from the idea that you should never have to choose between a natural looking tan and healthy skin. By combining self tanning with powerful skincare ingredients, our formulas help create a smooth, even tan while caring for your skin.
